Volunteer Engagement Process:

7 Steps to become a SOUL Volunteer!

2. Schedule a virtual or in-person interviews

3. Attend the new volunteer training

4. Attend the site orientation

5. Complete the Metropolitan Police Department background check

6. Complete the National Sex offender background check

7. Once Steps 1-6 are complete. Volunteers are placed at youth enrichment site

DC Affordable Housing Communities (DC): DC Housing Authority and Golden Rule Apartments

Baltimore City Public Schools (MD): Ashburnton Elementary/Middle School and MERVO High School

Montgomery County Public Schools (MD): Blake High School (Pending)

Franklin Township Public Schools (NJ): Franklin High School (Pending)

San Francisco Unified School District (CA): Marshall High School

How do volunteer support SOUL?

Volunteers primarily provide one or all of the following youth enrichment activities:

1. In-Person Tutoring

2. Virtual Tutoring

3. Mentorship

4. Athletic Training

5. College and Career Counseling

We need volunteers support with planning and facilitating special events!

We would like your help with some of the follwing:

Coordinating Youth Sports Events

Creating Community Service Opportunities

Designing Youth Development Events

Facilitating Virtual Workshops or Presentations for Youth

Developing Fundraising Events or Ideas

Hosting College Tours for Youth
