Alfonso “Al “Pearson is the Community Reinvestment Community Partnership Manager for the Greater Washington Region of JP Morgan Chase he delivers Community Reinvestment Act(CRA) eligible community development (CD) services largely focused on financial and homebuyer education, technical assistance training, board and committee memberships, and other partnership activities in the bank’s CRA assessment areas. Alis responsive to the needs of our communities and innovates in order to improve the financial inclusion of LMI communities. Heis also responsible for nurturing positive relationships via a regular cadence of communications and outreach with CRA stakeholders (NFP organizations with a CD mission, advocates, and governmental representatives) whose input is considered by examiners as part of the CRA examination process.
Prior to joining Chase Al served as the Community Development Regional Manager for SunTrust Bank in Maryland. He also served as a National Community Development Manager for E*TRADE Bank. Al is very involved in the communities that he serves through his service on nonprofit boards and fraternal organizations.
Al serves as Vice Board Chairman of Neighborhood Housing Services of Baltimore, Board Secretary of South Baltimore Learning Center and Trustee of the Maryland Council of Economic Education. He also served as Co-President of the Maryland Bankers Community Reinvestment Group. Al resides in Upper Marlboro Maryland with his wife and 2 young adult children.
