Volunteer Engagement Process

6 easy steps to become a SOUL Volunteer!

1. Complete online application . Click here to start the process.

2. After we receive your online application, we’ll schedule a virtual or in-person interview.

3. Then we’ll do new volunteer training, diving into how you’ll be supporting SOUL and where you’ll be focusing your time.

4. You’ll then attend site orientation, learning more about the unique needs of the location.

5. Additionally, we’ll need you to complete the Metropolitan Police Department background check and the National Sex offender background check.

6. Once Steps 1-5 are complete, volunteers are placed at a youth enrichment site.

How do volunteers support SOUL?

Volunteers primarily provide one or all of the following youth enrichment activities. Volunteers are the backbone of our programs and are critical for the success of our youth.
